1. Agreement to Terms

These General Terms and Conditions ("Terms") apply to all users ("Users") of the remove-bg.io platform and services ("Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms as well as our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please discontinue use of our platform immediately.

2. Scope of Services

remove-bg.io provides a free, AI-powered background removal service. Users can upload images through our website, and the Service removes the image background using artificial intelligence. All features are provided free of charge without requiring registration or an account. The Service also includes a browser-based fallback that can process images locally on your device when the server is unavailable.

3. User Obligations

As a User of the Service, you agree to:

• Provide accurate information when interacting with the Service or contacting us for support.
• Use the Service in compliance with these Terms, the Terms of Service, applicable laws, and any acceptable use policies established by remove-bg.io.
• Ensure that any uploaded content complies with applicable copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property laws.
• Refrain from automated or excessive usage that could degrade the Service for other users. Circumventing rate limits is prohibited.
• Not attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the Service or its AI models.

4. Service Availability and Limitations

The Service is provided free of charge and is subject to the following limitations:

• Images must not exceed 20 MB in file size or 8,192 pixels in any dimension.
• The Service enforces rate limits to ensure fair usage for all users.
• Processing times may vary depending on image complexity and server load.
• Browser-based fallback processing depends on your device's capabilities and may produce different results than server-based processing.
• We reserve the right to modify these limitations at any time without prior notice.

5. Use of Third-Party Tools and Analytics

We integrate various third-party services to enhance the Service, including Google Analytics 4 (via gtag.js), Cloudflare (Pages, Tunnel, WAF, R2, Turnstile), and jsDelivr CDN. These tools may collect information such as IP addresses, browser details, and usage patterns. By using the Service, you consent to the data collection and processing activities described in our Privacy Policy.

6. Data Handling and Privacy

Uploaded images are processed entirely in server memory (RAM) and are never saved to disk or stored persistently. Processed results are returned immediately to your browser. On the client side, processed images may be temporarily cached in your browser's IndexedDB for up to 4 hours (maximum 20 images), after which they are automatically deleted. 7. Changes to the Service

remove-bg.io reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service or any part thereof at any time. We may change features, processing limits, or supported formats. Since the Service is provided free of charge, no compensation will be owed for any such changes.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, remove-bg.io shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with the use or inability to use the Service. This includes, without limitation, interruptions to the Service, loss of data, or any errors or omissions in content. As the Service is provided free of charge, our total aggregate liability shall not exceed zero (0) to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms, and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them, shall be governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising under these Terms will be resolved exclusively in the courts located in Bezawada, India.

10. Entire Agreement

These Terms, in conjunction with our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and remove-bg.io with respect to your use of the Service. If any provision is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
